Karazhan Squads Now Forming

In order to ramp the progress of the Noble Knights guild members, the Karazhan raid has been split into two groups: Alpha Squad Karazhan and Omega Squad Karazhan. Though managing both groups will be initially difficult, it will give everyone a chance to gain experience and gear up, and will allow those in the Omega Squad to run on an alternate schedule. The list of guild members assigned (and not currently assigned) is available on the Karazhan Attunement List page. Note that the list will be changed periodically and members may be moved around based on role, need, and availability. Guild members that are approaching level 70, be sure to ask your fellow guildies for help to get you attuned for Karazhan. With so many members becoming attuned, we look forward to forming a third Karazhan Raid Team real soon.It is also important to note that at a future date members from each squad will be swapped between groups to help balance the skill sets and share experience and strategies.

Fun and Folly with the Noble Knights (video)

Though it isn’t very flattering, the first-ever Noble Knights video shows a hapless crew of five tired guild members attacking Zereketh the Unbound. Unfortunately, the party had severe problems with Patch 2.2, major network lag (upwards of 646 ms to 1000+ ms), and some players’ FPS dipping under 5! Kelina, Blueice, Vaemyr, Eldamari, and Arabesque do their best to chase Zereketh down though many factors impeded their efforts (five times total). It’s hilarious, if not sad! But it’s all in zany fun and Blueice says it’s one more reason Vaemyr needs to buy her a new computer. This is an experimental video also as Vaemyr is getting used to the built-in movie recording feature in Patch 2.2. Future videos may be available in higher quality.

The Noble Knights ran Karazhan tonight with a talented group, though at one point there were only 9 Knights. Although Attumen wasn’t downed, the Knights were able to work on strategy and refining technique. More to come!

Karazhan Date Set: August 24, 2007! Get Attuned!

(Last updated August 19, 2007) The Noble Knights have undertaken an aggressive effort to get a solid core of level 70 players attuned for the Karazhan raid encounter, and will be conducting attunement runs regularly during each week. Every day during the week, members should inquire in guild chat for any ongoing runs, and should wait for an invite. Members can also opt to PUG an existing run to Shadow Labs (key frament 1), Steam Vault (key fragment 2), or Arcatraz (key fragment 3) in order to complete their key fragment quest. In any case, it is imperative that all level 70 Knights be working on preparing for the guild’s first-ever Karazhan raid. The official date for Karazhan is now set for August 24, 2007, 8:00pm Server Time. To be put in the Karazhan raid, please add your character name to the signup page. All level 70 guild members should send an in-game message to Kinzy stating their current attunement status (which quest you’re on currently). Raid Signup Page Goes Live

The Noble Knights will now have a place to schedule and sign up for raids, and it’s about time! You can enter the new signup section and add your NK character. For each raid you can select Coming, Not Coming, or Possible. You will also be able to leave a note for the guild for each scenario. Please comment with any concerns. Thanks!Sign up for a raid now!

New Home for the Noble Knights!

Blueice and I (Vaemyr) are at BlizzCon 2007 and we’re trying to do a lot of things while still staying in touch with the guild. We met a lot of other folks while at the exhibit hall, all in various stages of raid competence. I’m happy to announce that the Noble Knights have a new website ready (finally!) and I apologize for the delay. It’s been a busy few months! We’re testing some new features of the site and hope to roll out lots of cool toys for the guild to try. For example, Blueice can link her [Kurenai Kilt] and you can mouse over it for the item stats. Very cool! Thanks everyone for their patience. Again, stay tuned for more site features including the raid schedule!
